EVENTS CALENDAR

Our programmatic lineup—in addition to our exhibitions, tours, and educational initiatives—is guided by the framework of Sacred Space, Sacred Time, and Sacred Community:

Sacred Space encompasses the elements of our home, the Eldridge Street Synagogue, religious sacred spaces around the world, and what sacred space means to you.

Sacred Time explores the life cycle events and holidays that shape Jewish life, as well as the ways in which life cycle events and holidays are celebrated across other cultures and religions.

Sacred Community propels us to share key aspects of Jewish communal obligation and inclusion, the diversity of the global Jewish community today, and exploring connections to other communal traditions and values.

The Museum at Eldridge Street’s public programs are made possible, in part, by the City of New York Department of Cultural Affairs in Partnership with the City Council, and New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

Additional underwriting is provided by generous supporters including: The Rene Bloch Foundation, Elias A. Cohen Foundation, William and Dewey Edelman Charitable Trust, The Alice Lawrence Foundation, Inc., Lilly Endowment Inc., The Lucius N. Littauer Foundation, The Marc Haas Foundation, and Michael Tuch Foundation.
